Super Mario Bros. 3 (スーパーマリオブラザーズ3 Sūpā Mario Burazāzu Surī) is a platform video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) video game console. The sequel to the 1988 video game Super Mario Bros. 2, it is the fourth installment in the Super Mario Bros. series. It was first released in Japan on October 23, 1988 and later in North America on February 12, 1990.
